  once upon a time, i invested in an electronics company that increased its profits by over 200% by reducing its customer base!

  this counter-intuitive result came about because they realized that most of their revenue came from a few customers who needed more support.. fast forward to the watchtower: whether they admit it to themselves or not, change will come because they are piling up huge numbers of publishers that are almost useless.

  worse, they eat up published resources without contributing for them...... and they drag the organization down in multiple ways and create more problems.. they have a "growing" problem - with increasingly useless growth.

  Yes, a realization of the old "80-20 rule," which in this case would state that 80% of the Watchtower's wealth comes from 20% of its membership.*

  They would be wise to start a major reduction-in-force immediately, but the WTB&TS is seldom wise, faithful or discreet.

  *A corollary of this would be that 80% of the problems of the WTB&TS come from 20% of their membership. The WTB&TS assumes that this troublesome 20% are the "apostates," but actually, the troublesome ones are the unproductive and inactive "almost-faithful" hangers-on who drag everybody down with their whining, complaining and being "stumbled" all the time. Get rid of those ZEROS and restore some pep to the org.

  If any of the WTB&TS management team knew anything about business, they would have realized this a long time ago.

  its being produced by stephan mcguire who is a proper film producer who happens to have been brought up as a jehovahs witness.

  think leonardo dicaprio got something to do with making it too :).

  Regarding Leonardo DiCaprio's status as a JW - I have no idea.

  According to imdb, Leonardo was the narrator of Stephan's film "The 11 th Hour" but that in itself is no evidence that he is or was a JW.

  I think each one of us should consider how much support we personally can give to this project, and ask our friends to likewise consider making an investment in the film. I have requested additional investor's information which I will be reviewing carefully.

  This is the text of an email I sent some of my friends. Feel free to use it in whole or in part as suits your needs:

  Dear friends,

  Some of you know this, and some of you do not.

  I was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was an active member of the religion until I was in my early twenties. I haven't made any effort to conceal this fact from any of you, but on the other hand I haven't made it my primary topic of conversation, either.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are a dangerous mind-control cult that puts the lives of its followers at risk. I have worked quietly in my own various ways to inform the community at large of the danger posed by Jehovah's Witnesses and I have been an active supporter of the XJW community around the world.

  Now I would like to ask YOUR help. I have just learned that Stephan McGuire (associate producer, "The 11th Hour" [2007]) is planning to make a movie titled "Losing my Religion" that will explain the truth about Jehovah's Witnesses and the sacrifices made by those who leave the cult. I am considering lending my support to this cause, and ask that you do also.

  Investors are now being sought for the production of this movie. If assistance of this magnitude is within your means, I ask that you consider doing so. If that is not possible, I ask that you consider making a charitable donation to "Lost & Found" or consider purchasing a copy of the movie when it is released on DVD.

  1984 WT cover, 1914 Gen That Will Not Pass -- How many of 16 alive today?

  those people on that cover were supposed to represent a group of people that would still live on into the new order.

  in your best guess, how old were most of those 16 people at the time the photo was taken, and how many do you suppose are still alive today?.

  remember, that wt was printed in 1984, nearly 27 years ago.
